Well-Designed Interior of a One-Bedroom Apartment

We designed this apartment for a married couple with a clear vision – first to live in it themselves, and later to offer it for rent. Therefore, we sought a solution that would be practical and cozy, yet sufficiently timeless and versatile.

The brief was specific: the space should feel airy, calm, and natural. We therefore chose neutral colors, natural materials, and simple lines. Light wood is the dominant element, which we complemented with matte surfaces and live plants. Most of the furniture was custom-made.

Kitchen as the Center of Apartment Life

The kitchen was crucial for the clients. Not just as a cooking space, but as a place for spending time together. They wanted a U-shaped kitchen with an attached dining table and two bar stools – a simple solution that required thoughtful organization.

The combination of open and closed storage elements gives the kitchen structure and visual balance. We used both traditional handles and handle-free Tip-On opening mechanisms. Technical elements that couldn’t be concealed in the walls were integrated into the wooden paneling. The result looks clean and natural.

Living Room in Natural Tones

The living area flows seamlessly from the kitchen. Stylistically, it follows the same direction – a natural, calm interior emphasizing wood and simple details. The Japanese aesthetic influence is subtle yet distinct.

Storage solutions were an important element of the design. These are designed to be fully functional while maintaining the overall clean look. Everything has its place, without unnecessary ostentation.

Bedroom for Rest and Focus

In the bedroom, we worked with a combination of warm wood and earthy green. The central element is a built-in wardrobe that offers ample space for both everyday and seasonal items. The slatted paneling behind the bed connects with the rest of the interior while concealing electrical installations. The design also included a work nook for occasional remote work.
