A Family Home Designed for Everyday Comfort

We worked on the design of this house with joy—partly because the client approached us for the second time. The first time, we designed the interior of her first house, and now we could be part of the creation of a new one. Because she was satisfied with us, she contacted us again. Such repeat collaborations are the greatest honor for us.

An Interior that Preceded the Construction

The architectural design of the house already had an excellent foundation—a spacious ground floor with an open ceiling and gallery, bedrooms and a study also located on the ground floor, and an upper landing with a view down into the social area of the house. The goal was to create a calm, airy, and visually connected interior that would not only have a valuable design but also be practical.

Timely Input is a Big Plus

A key advantage of the entire project was that we addressed the interior design while the house was still on paper—specifically at the stage of completing the construction documentation, but before the building permit. This gave us the opportunity to adjust the layout before construction began.

The biggest changes occurred in the social area—we moved the kitchen from the center of the room under the gallery, where it makes more sense. This created free space for the dining and living room, which now feels much more open. The dining table in the center connects the kitchen and living area, while remaining sufficiently airy. The kitchen island visually aligns with the line of the landing, so even when viewed from the upper floor, the house maintains a clean and cohesive visual style.

“It was great that we got involved in the interior design just in time. We could still easily influence important things. We proposed changes, consulted them with the clients, and after approval, incorporated them into the design. I’m sure that once they settle into the house, they will appreciate how much the interior modifications benefited the overall concept of the space,” says our interior designer Kamila, the author of the design.

Consistent Style in Every Detail

A balanced and harmonious palette runs throughout the interior—a combination of wood decor, concrete screed, compact materials, and soft beige tones. The atmosphere is softened by greenery, which connects the individual elements and brings freshness to the space. A distinctive feature is the wooden slats that appear throughout the interior, contributing to its rhythm and visual continuity. The whole feels calm, elegant, and welcoming.

A consistent visual language is maintained throughout the entire house and is reflected in many details we added as part of the original design modifications. These include, for example, tall reverse doors—we designed them to seamlessly align with the ceiling height, emphasize the clean lines of the interior, and enable smarter and more efficient use of space.

An Interior where Every Household Member Has Their Own Space

It wasn’t just about making the interior look good. It was important for it to be comfortable—for people and their four-legged companions. In the living room, we created a climbing wall for cats that occupies an entire wall. It is designed to match the rest of the interior while providing plenty of space for climbing, resting, and observing the room’s activities.

We designed the kitchen simply and cleanly—without distracting elements, but with maximum functionality. We used a compact worktop with an integrated hob with a built-in extractor and an undermount sink. Everything appears unified and organized—and it works perfectly in everyday use.

In the bedroom, the client wanted to have as few things in sight as possible. The floating bed gives a light impression, as if it is hovering above the floor. Opposite it, we designed a sliding panel that conceals a TV and a large round mirror—depending on what she wants to have in front of her at the time.

A Thoughtfully Designed Space for Living

The fact that we had previously worked with the clients allowed us to better understand their visions and needs. We knew what was important to them and could tailor the design to their lifestyle. Thanks to timely input, we were able to design the interior while the house project was still being completed, allowing us to meaningfully influence the layout. The clients trusted us when we proposed changes—and it was this trust that resulted in a home that is not only beautiful but also practical and ready to serve the whole family for many years.
