Designing interiors for the newly renovated multifunctional building called Vtelenka meant creating a place that would be not only beautiful and functional but also versatile enough to handle any event such as a wedding, concert, exhibition, ball, or family celebration.
The interior of the restaurant, community hall, and entrance areas was created with the aim of establishing a modern, timeless environment that is lively, welcoming, and easily adaptable. Thanks to cleverly designed layouts and the use of foldable mobile furniture, the spaces can be quickly transformed according to current needs. The restaurant and hall can be connected or separated depending on the type of event. Whatever event takes place here, it must function flawlessly.
We designed the restaurant interior with an emphasis on maximizing capacity while maintaining guest comfort. We used folding tables in a balanced number to avoid overcrowding the space, and complemented them with upholstered stackable chairs that facilitate layout changes. For greater spaciousness, we placed benches around the perimeter of the room. The centerpiece of the restaurant is an elevated bar clad in copper sheet with a service area for staff.
How We Responded to Unexpected Challenges
“The situation changed as we went along,” says interior designer Simona, who was in charge of the interior design. “During our work, the client discovered traces of rising damp on the walls of the older building. They asked us to propose a solution to deal with the unsightly walls. We therefore designed cladding panels made of perforated chipboard and metal. Thanks to these, the walls can continue to breathe, the interior looks good, and we also gained the opportunity to add shelves or hooks for hanging pictures in the perforations.”

We designed the community hall as a versatile space that serves not only as a restaurant but also for other cultural and social events. All furniture –
The entrance area represents the entire facility, including the restaurant, hall, and adjacent guesthouse. We designed an elegant foyer with a lockable cloakroom behind glass doors. The cloakroom attendant can be present, but doesn’t have to be, as the space functions independently. It always appears tidy and welcoming.
