Renting out a flat may sound simple, but when it comes to specific decisions, more questions than answers often arise. Who to offer the flat to? What equipment to choose to make it appealing, durable, and not cold?
It is not easy to decide, as the requirements of applicants differ, and the way the flat is furnished has a significant impact on the speed and profitability of the rental. The goal is for your investment to return as soon as possible, for the rental to start generating profit, and for maintenance not to take up unnecessary time.
In the following paragraphs, you will also find specific tips from practice.

The target group determines not only the style and equipment but also the level of investment. Students generally appreciate simple solutions – a functional kitchen, a desk, a comfortable bed, and plenty of storage space. They do not expect luxury, but they do expect reliability and easy maintenance. Singles or young couples seek a more modern look, a cozy atmosphere, and higher-quality materials. For families, the main role is played by ample storage space, safe surfaces, and durable equipment under greater stress. And if you are targeting short-term stays, it pays to focus on visual details and accessories that stand out in photographs and enhance the attractiveness of the offer.
“Furnishing a small flat for rent to be comfortable is challenging. Especially for studios, we often design foldable furniture. Take a look at the interior of a studio for rent, where we designed a fold-down bed hidden in a wardrobe. In its folded state, it serves as a sofa, and when unfolded, it transforms into a full-fledged bed for everyday sleeping.” says our interior designer Simona.

A flat intended for rent must withstand more frequent tenant moves and minor accidents. Therefore, easily washable, durable materials are suitable. Tiled or quality vinyl floors are easy to maintain, unaffected by spilled liquids or moved furniture. On the other hand, carpets or wooden parquet floors quickly lose their appearance and are easily damaged.
Furniture made of HPL in wood decor or neutral colors looks modern, is easy to combine, and lasts longer than softwood. Smooth surfaces resistant to scratches make cleaning easier, and darker grout in tiles extends aesthetic longevity.

Less is sometimes more, especially true for rental apartment interiors. Neutral colors create a universal base that feels calm and simultaneously suits various tastes. White, beige, light gray, or muted brown shades match most furniture and decorations and do not become tiresome even after years. This way, the interior does not feel overly specific and appeals to a wider range of applicants.
You can easily add personality with accessories, pillows, curtains, paintings, or smaller decorations that can be changed at any time. Such a flat remains timeless and attractive, with small changes always refreshing the atmosphere.

A rented flat does not have to look austere. Just add a few well-chosen elements, and the interior immediately gains coziness. Textiles play a big role, such as curtains, which soften the space and also provide the necessary blackout. Lighting also has a significant function: recessed ceiling lights give a minimalist look, while more prominent fixtures can be a decorative element that adds interest to the space.
For long-term rentals, it is better to leave the choice of accessories to the tenants themselves, so they can customize the interior to their liking. Conversely, for short-term stays, it is worth spending more time on finalization, as the apartment should look appealing even in photographs. Curtains, as well as pillows, rugs, and simple decorations, help bring life to the space.

We designed this apartment as part of the corporate facilities, where not only employees on business trips but also business partners or clients should feel comfortable. The interior combines coziness with a representative appearance. The apartment offers comfortable accommodation primarily for two people, with an additional two people able to use the sofa bed.
A slatted partition separates the kitchenette from the sleeping area. Blackout curtains and ample storage space enhance guest comfort. The bathroom, with large-format tiles in a concrete decor, looks clean and modern. For greater convenience in managing the apartments, we also designed a space for online check-in, allowing guests to arrive without the need for a reception.

In designing the mountain apartment, we followed the investor’s clear brief to create a cozy mountain-style environment that also meets quality and easy maintenance requirements for renting. The interior is based on
The apartment layout also includes a guest room with a practical workspace, a bedroom with another work corner. A separate bathroom and toilet are designed in a modern, functional standard. The result is an interior that combines a cozy mountain atmosphere with thoughtful comfort and quality materials, precisely to appeal to a wide range of visitors and serve well in the long term.

Serviced apartments represent a modern way of accommodation, combining the best of hotel comfort and the privacy of a regular apartment. They are ideal for
We divided the living space into two zones using a furniture wall: the social area consists of a comfortable upholstered sofa with a coffee table, a TV wall, and a kitchen unit with a dining area, while the relaxation zone is centered around a full-sized double bed with storage space. The overall impression is completed by ambient lighting, quality textiles and paintings, and simple design accessories. Accommodation in serviced apartments significantly exceeds the standard and atmosphere of regular rentals.

Furnishing an apartment or flat for rent may seem easy at first glance, but in reality, it requires careful planning. Therefore, it is worth utilizing the experience of an interior designer who can design a solution that is durable, pleasant, and sustainable in the long term.
