Please Have a Seat

What can’t you imagine a living room without? Undoubtedly, a comfortable sofa set is a necessity for every living room. And it doesn’t matter whether you have a small cozy or a large airy space. A sofa is a must!

Sit and Lie Down

When furnishing a living room, comfort is paramount. The living room is the space where the family spends evenings and gathers, perhaps for a movie. And you can have a lot of fun with the seating in your living room. How to do it?

Combine Styles and Pieces of Furniture

You don’t have to have a sofa in the traditional L or U shape. Combine a sofa with armchairs, a rocking chair, an ottoman, or bean bags. All according to the space and style in which your room is furnished. Place a coffee table in the middle of the seating area to balance it all and where everyone can sit together. Of course, a television or a screen for movie projection often dominates the living room. Therefore, the sofa should also be oriented so that you can watch comfortably from it. If you’re not a fan of TV entertainment, direct the seating towards a fireplace or wood stove—what better way to enjoy peace and comfort than a crackling fire in a cozy home.

Beware of Overcomplicating

Different colors, materials, and shapes can create a “wild” feeling of clutter in the room. How to avoid this? Choose one element that will be the same for each seating piece—it could be a color shade or the same upholstery. A carpet placed under the sofa and chairs will also help. This will connect everything into one area intended for lounging or sitting with family and friends.

A Practical Sofa is a Win

When choosing a sofa set, consider its practicality. A beautiful designer sofa is a gem. But the living room is not a gallery or a showcase; it’s a place where you spend a lot of time and want to feel comfortable above all. Choose materials that are easy to clean (especially if you have small children or a dog at home). Opt for a structure that can ideally be converted into a real bed, which can come in handy at any time—whether for guests or in unexpected situations (we still vividly remember household member quarantines). But perhaps a storage space, which some sofas offer, will suffice. And, for example, the aforementioned ottoman can also serve as a small secret bar or storage space for blankets, magazines, or slippers for guests.
