Interior Design of a One-Room Apartment with a Workspace

Designing small apartments is always a challenge for us, but also a joy. With this project, we reaffirmed that even limited space can offer a full-fledged and aesthetically thoughtful living environment.

The foundation is formed by a timeless combination of wood decor, white, and the neutral taupe color, which gives the entire space a calm and elegant character. We designed the furniture to measure, with an emphasis on storage spaces that utilize entire walls without taking up extra space.

The apartment’s layout is determined by a rectangular floor plan with two alcoves. In one of them, we created a fully functional kitchen nook, and the other was transformed into a compact yet bright workspace. It is separated by a glass sliding partition, which keeps the apartment airy while functionally divided, an ideal solution for occasional home office use.

The center of the room is dedicated to the social area. It connects the living zone with the workspace and kitchen nook, thus forming the natural center of the apartment – a place for relaxation, daily life, and gatherings. Everything feels harmonious, simple, and yet cozy.
